Chipwerks engineering staffs is very actively involved in the development of IP for compilers and DSP. All the components of our product range are available off the shelf that can be plugged into customer systems. They can be customized easily depending on the customers requirement.

Chipwerks IP portfolio is available for the following focus areas.

1. Compiler

Machine Independent Optimizer for lcc, A Retargetable Compiler for ANSIC

lcc is a retargetable, production compiler for ANSI C. It is smaller and faster than generally available alternatives and its local code is comparable. It is a widely used compiler framework next only to gcc largely due to lack of global optimizer.

ImageCraft has been working along with Chipwerks on this limitation from last couple of years. The result is a generic SSA based global machine independent optimizer which can be plugged to any LCC based compiler within no time. The optimizer has already been tested on Imagecrafts AVR and ARM compilers.
